To Whom It May Concern:The recent volume of Quality Survey questionnaires (all of them, different) has prompted us to come up with some generic "answers" to basic questions with hopes that individual QA departments can approve us based upon the information provided here. POCO SALES, Inc. is a division of PORTER COMPANY, Inc. established in 1939. Both companies are based at the above address. We are a small, woman owned distribution business, specializing in the sale of Circuit Breakers for equipment. Other product lines include Thermostats and electrical enclosures. POCO SALES, Inc. is factory authorized by all of our vendors who extend full factory warrantees to product sold by Poco. All of our suppliers are ISO rated. We don't have a quality department per se, and do not maintain any established military or commercial QA system or manual. Our product lines are primarily electromechanical, have minimal shelf life limitations and are not ESD sensitive. The nature of our products does not allow for value added services so there is no test equipment to calibrate, nor production or value added processes to audit. Incoming parts are inspected for condition, count, and conformance to manufacturer's specs. Returned or defective material is held in an isolated area pending resolution. Purchase and sales records provide traceability to manufacturers lot shipments. Our products are individually date code stamped and Certificate of conformance is provided for each package shipped. We have passed site inspections by Hughes Aircraft, Motorola, and Northrop (to name a few). Our operation is really quite simple and more specific questions rarely apply.
