POCO SALES, Inc. is a division of PORTER COMPANY, Inc. established in 1939. Both companies are based at the above address. Poco sales was started in 1974, responding to a suggestion by (then) Heinemann Electric Company that representative groups in certain areas take on a circuit breaker distribution role to assist their rep business.

The Heinemann rep in Southern California, Porter Company, answered the call with Poco Sales (while the word poco does translate to " small" in Spanish, our Poco is derived from Porter Company). A family business since 1939, Porter Company is now in our third generation, having specialized in circuit breakers since the early 1970’s.

Our employees occupy a 5,000 sq ft building in Chatsworth, CA, roughly 35 miles north west of Los Angeles. Poco Sales maintains a million dollar inventory of circuit breakers for fast delivery of most common types of breakers

At Poco, integrity is paramount. We are factory authorized by all of our manufacturers and in each case are among their largest distributors. Your product is factory warranted from the day it leaves Poco’s shelf, not simply from the date of manufacture.

Our president and CEO, Ruth Porter, took over in 1994, making us a woman owned, small business in the process. The sales department consists of Gregg, Keith, and Lynn. They are there to assist you in any way, so please don't hesitate to call on any of them.
